Client Webinar 9/11: Building Salesforce Forms with Form Assembly

We have recently become big fans of a new Salesforce data collection tool called Form Assembly, which lets you easily create online web forms that can be embedded on your website and that

 allow users to submit data–in the form of funds, deals, metrics, documents, or any other data–directly into Salesforce.

We’ve used Form Assembly with a few clients now and we find it to be simple to set up and use, especially when compared to the Salesforce sites or Portals that were previously the only option for building this type of functionality.

For our clients, there are probably three major use cases for these types of web-based forms:

  • For fund managers, web forms can be used to collect operating company metrics on a regular basis.
  • For institutional investors, if you have an inflow of potential GPs that are vying for your investments, web forms can be used to gather Fund information.
  • And for impact investors, web forms can be used to let applicants or business partners submit information.

In this webinar, we’ll talk a bit about the pros and cons of web forms, some best practices to consider when using web forms with AIM, some specific examples of what web forms clients have requested, and finally we’ll walk you through creating a web form so you can see for yourself how easy it is.
